as the inappropriate mother of Bronson Pinchot.
She has recently performed her new solo play Asking For It at
the NY Society for Ethical Culture, The Kirk Theater on Theater Row, Stocker Arts Center in Ohio,
Peter Jay Sharp Theater at Playwright's Horizons, and in the New York International Theater Festival
at the Cherry Lane Theatre. Most recently, Joanna was chosen to perform sections of
Asking For It on International Women’s Day
sponsored by the United Nations Counsel on the Empowerment of Women and the Hunger Project.
As a writer, Joanna co-wrote Irish Whiskey, an independent feature and
"Best Screenplay" winner at the Temecula Valley Film Festival and a screenplay entitled
Mothers Day based on the life of Julia Ward Howe, the first woman
admitted to the American Academy of Arts and Letters who, in spite of wars being waged in her own home,
created the holiday Mothers Day in 1873, as a time for women throughout
the world to come together each year in the name of peace. Joanna just received a grant to develop her
newest 8 character darkly comedic play Home Sweet Homeland at Stocker
Arts Center this season. She is a member of Actors Equity, The Dramatists Guild, SAG.
Lynne Taylor-Corbett (Director) has been nominated for two Tony awards and a Drama Desk award for Broadway’s Swing! and received two American Theatre Wing "Star" nominations for its national tour. She has choreographed the Broadway hits, Chess and Titanic. Off-Broadway she directed the acclaimed 20th Century Pop, Theda Bara and the Frontier Rabbi, co-directed Cookin’ and the US premiere of Women on the Verge by Marie Jones. She also developed and directed and Disney’s new Lion King in China. Regionally she has directed at the Old Globe Theater, Hartford Stage, The George Street Playhouse. Her show, Hats! is currently running in Chicago, has played New Orleans and will soon be in Vegas. Upcoming projects include The Girls Room with Kathie Lee Gifford, Mud Donahue & Son at the New York Musical Theatre Festival, and the ‘tween’ musical, Wanda's World. She has choreographed the feature films Footloose, My Blue Heaven and Bewitched; her dances have been performed all over the world including by Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theatre. Jonathan Brody (voiceovers) has been a proud member of Actor's Equity for 27 years. He appeared on Broadway in Monty Python's Spamalot, and the original companies of Titanic, Me and My Girl, and Sally Marr...and her escorts opposite Joan Rivers. Off-Broadway credits include Gimpl Tam (in Yiddish), Eating Raoul and as the Pirate King in Pirates of Penzance. He’s toured with Spamalot, Funny Girl, My Fair Lady, and appeared regionally in Hamlet, I Hate Hamlet, The Dybbuk, Irma Vep, Urinetown, Groucho; A Life in Revue, and many productions of Forever Plaid. TV credits include Guiding Light on CBS, and Sondheim; A Celebration at Carnegie Hall, An Evening With Alan Jay Lerner, and Porgy and Bess; An American Voice (as George Gershwin) all on PBS.
Dean Taucher (Set
Design). In the fall Dean will be starting his ninth season as Production
Designer of Law & Order SVU. Other episodic shows he has
designed include Miami Vice, NY Undercover, Dellaventura,
Stuckieville (ED-Pilot) and the first season of The Sopranos.
Off-Broadway, Dean designed Naked Angels' Snakebit with Director Jace
Alexander and The Working Theater's Tabletop with Director Connie
Grappo. In dance, Dean has designed five productions for gabrielle
lansner & company, Carly Simon-Dances at The Yard and Silk
Meadow with his sister Wendy Taucher, Director, Choreographer
and Managing Director of The Yard. Dean designed Now I'm John
for the Winnipeg Contemporary Dancers, Estuary for the Atlanta Ballet, Case
Closed for Hubbard St. Dance Co. and More Than a Song for the
Pittsburg Ballet, all with Director Choreographer Lynne Taylor Corbett.
Brant Thomas Murray (Lighting Design). Recent designs include the Off-Broadway hit musicals Sessions and An Evening at the Carlyle , and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Bryant Park, serving as a designer for Joe Saint and IMCD Lighting in The Tent and off-site venues since the Spring 2009 Collections (Designers have included Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Isaac Mizrahi, and Christian V. Siriano.) Other recent designs include: Innovation 2009 for Bodiography Contemporary Ballet (dir: Maria Caruso), the premiere of Bound in a Nutshell for Moonwork, presented as part of the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival, Inside/Out...Voices from the Disability Community for Ping Chong & Company which had its world premiere at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Humbug and Dracula for Premiere Stages (dir: John Wooten), Fly (dir: Ricardo Khan), A Little Night Music for the Mostly Mozart Festival at Lincoln Center, and The Most Wonderful Wife (Viking Player Productions). At Lincoln Center, he has designed cabarets and concerts for Kelli O’Hara, Victoria Clark, Emmanuel Ax, and the Tokyo String Quartet. In 2007 Brant designed the holiday window lighting for Maurice Villency’s flagship showroom in Manhattan. His previous window design was for the award winning "Pop-Up Book" Holiday Windows at Macy's Herald Square, which were featured in the HGTV special, “Holiday Windows 2005”. A graduate of the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama and the University of Virginia School of Architecture, he is also the Resident Lighting Designer and Technical Supervisor at Lincoln Center Institute for the Arts in Education. www.brantmurray.com
Joachim Horsley (Sound Design/Composer) composes and designs sound for theatre, film, and television. Through his company LittleHorse Music & Audio, he has worked for NBC, The Weinstein Company, A&E, Court TV, Biography Channel, History Channel, ABC.com, and many independent filmmakers and theatre companies. Recently he has created music and sounds for several new media projects, including The New York Times Online and TheOnion.com. On October 12th, he will be appearing at Symphony Space with his band, LittleHorse, "America’s Only Double-Piano Rock Band" celebrating the release of their new CD Strangers in the Valley. http://www.LittleHorse.net
Jenn Corbett (Assistant Stage Manager) was Assistant Lighting Tech for Asking For It at Peter Jay Sharp Theatre in NYC. She was the Lead Lighting Tech for The Flight of the Lawnchair Man at the New York Musical Theatre Festival in 2006. She is working on her Bachelor Degree in the Arts at the University of Albany with emphasis on stage management and playwriting.
